188 Moment Ruby vs 187 Liberty Helix vs 190 Ninthward NGP vs 182 Line Sir Francis Bacon

i'm looking for an AT setup. i'm interested in a few skis, all around the same size/dimensions. i dont know too much about these skis, so i'm looking to you for help.

i know the bacons r baller, but theyre a little short for what i want, which is the 185-190 range

i like the flex of the 188 rubys, and i hear the helixs are softer, and i'm wondering how they match up to the flex of the bacons. i know the least about the 190 ninthward ngp, so anything you say will help

so NS, if you were 6'3" and looking to throw some dukes on a pair of skis, which would you choose? +k for constructive comments

I don't know a ton about this kinda stuff but I wouldn't even consider the bacons at your height they're just wayyy too damn small

^^^ exactly, but i have a good deal for bacons ready to rip, $150!!! so thats why i'm lookin for info

i'm like 220+

i'm a big dude. i think the NGPs r a good length, but i want softer. i've found a good deal on NGPs and bacons, but i'm finding it hard to get the 188 rubys, seeing as how i'm in VT

Moments would be sick, you are heavy, and once you break the NGPs in they would probably work alright. Have you looked at obsetheds? gotamas? fatypus? I'm just throwing names out there now.

But the bacons, though cheap, will be way too soft for you. You could always buy them, flip them on NS for money for your other skis. :)

good luck.

people hate flipping on NS, but yea i considered it. the obseths and gotamas are slightly reversed camber, which doesnt comply well with skins; u want to be touching the snow when skinning

Get Rubys!!

Moment is the best, really light, great for at setup... 188 is softer, 190 is more a charger..

yea i'm really leaning towards the rubys i think. hopefully the right ppl find my b/s/t thread:

also; do they make skins that fit flat tips and tails? haha

i'm finding it hard to score rubys for cheap, or any price break off retail at all. but i have found helixs and bacons

more info plz

Helixes are sick. Super light weight, stiff enough to charge, and pretty durable. If you're into being green, I think they are into that sort of thing--windpowered or something.
