Roundtop, PA: The bee's knees?

I'm moving to Carlisle, PA during this upcoming season. Doing the research now on where I want to make my home mountain. Based on searches, edits, posts... it appears to be Roundtop?

30 something minutes away from me and a pretty cheap pass. I would prefer a place that had a decent amount of shredders, as I will be solo 99% of the time. Obviously, conditions/park/shenanigans/accessibility is paramount though.

What's the word on the street?

Thanks for the replies! I've always heard Big Boulder is great but wrote it off based on distance. I'm going to be bored, so I might just hit up everywhere before I get a pass.

Any other info, send it my way!
 
Big boulder has any time tix starting at 25 or 30 in their cyber Monday deal. Nice way to make the cost a bit lighter considering the distance.
 
never been to Roundtop but I can vouch that Big Boulder is deff worth a 2 hour drive. Very park conscious/oriented mountain.

Awesome find! I've been looking at some of the big bundle passes because I'll spend a week in VT/NH for sure... but $399? I'm gonna snag one of these.
 
We usually have a decent setup at roundtop in my biased opinion. Although it seems to get more and more difficult every year...
 
I hope they open soon, i'm getting pretty ancy

Yea this is the first time i can remember that they havnt opened with havinh plenty of snow. Guess its a peak resorts move to try to get people to upgrade their pass to

Yeah lol I saw people raging on Facebook about it. They're dodging comments, so I'm just gonna assume it's because they're busy making snow.
