So my dad just picked up a pair of S3's 170cm for 345$. He's 5'9 and 180 pounds, also he likes skiing kinda every thing but mostly does backcountry/powder. Do you think there good or what, let me know.

i love mine. i haven't had a powder day on them yet but they are really solid when straight-lining at 80km/h+ . pretty light and nice feeling in the air and riding switch, even though they aren't simetrical

I just picked up a pair yesterday. Haven't skied on them yet though.
