Rossi Slat Durability?

Anyone have some experience with the slats durability? Found a pair for $239 at sportchek and got me thinking. +kkk my dudes and or ski bunnies

Nope. After about 30 days my buddy's completely fell apart on him, the base peeled right off underfoot leaving the core exposed. He really liked them while they lasted though so if you just need some short term skis, 240 is a pretty good deal.

The slat is a great deal, especially for that price. i have the 15/16 slats and my bro had the 14/15s. First day I skied them they were a touch stiff for my liking, but by day 3-4 the flex started to break in really nicely. They ski awesome, really stable jib platform that can handle a variety of conditions like a fuckin champ. Unfortunately Rossi doesn't put the same amount of love and attention towards durability as brands like on3p do. My homie skied his for a season and a half and totally blew the sidewall along with major top sheet chipping. I got mine in February and so far they are holding up way better than his did. I have a few chips in the top sheet, but no cracked sidewalls or edges so far. Normally I crack edges on my park skis within the first two weeks of riding, but so far the slats are holding up really well, especially compared to my two previous pairs of skis from rossignol. Overall I highly recommend the slat as a charger all mountain jib ski for a great price. Just watch your edges on the top sheet.

depends on what year model, the black and orange ones seem to hold up just fine. I personally dont own the ski but can say that both of my friends (who have been on slats for the past 2 ) have nothing but amazing things to say about the ski. Pretty fat for an average park ski so can still hold your own on terrain outside of the park, decent enough rocker/early rise for chundery-ass snow and slush, and the flex looks pretty much ideal for park skiing: stable for jumps but still soft for playful butters. Rossi park skis have been pretty damn killer recently, i was tempted to nab a pair of their pipe skis.

A season and a half out of a ski that you're continually bashing together and smacking them on rails is great durability.

It doesn't matter what brand of ski you've got, the fact is if you ride a lot of rails and ski a lot of park you shouldn't expect your skis to last longer than a season.

agreed, great life for a park ski. however he did have some serious sidewall and topsheet damage after about a season into riding them and had to basically rebuild his sidewall and edge underfoot in order to keep them going as long as he did.

haha i got mine from sport check with that exact deal and i love them! i haven't had any durability issues and i find them really fun on the whole mountain.
