Rossi/Look pivots suck

Just had my second instance of these things failing on me in nasty terrain. First time was a vaporized heel-piece in the Jackson side-country and I had to traverse all the way out on one ski. Today I was having a good time in Z-chute at briger bowl until the toe-pad snapped off on one ski. Once again, had to ski a 40 degree couloir on one ski like a fucking psychopath.

I have heard of at least 10-12 cases of the same shit happening to people, even on mellow groomers. Pretty unacceptable when the only thing these bindings are supposed to do is not break. Don't always trust the hype for popular shit.

First of all what version were you on, the new toes all suck except the 18.

Also the heel pieces that break were recalled so its kinda on you for not having the shop replace them, the recall knowledge was pretty widely spread and every shop should have the serial numbers affected.

Brand spanking new 2017/18 pivot 18's both times. Pretty sure it was after the recall unless some old stock leaked through.

What boot? Assuming its a standard sole alpine boot it sounds like you should take it to a different shop since the only way that would reasonably happen is horrible negligence in setting your bindings up, the p18 is one of the most durable bindings on the market next to the sth steel or the old all metal driver salomons.

Alternatively look keeps making them cheaper and cheaper and now they’re blowing up, I know for sure they changed the half moons and the base plates since the original race ones, and the old half moons were significantly more durable.

I've never heard of this issue? I've been riding Attack 13s on my skis lately though so maybe the build quality has changed from when I had FKSs.

Man, I remember the days of bending the brakes on the old fks. I've ridden them up to this day with zero issues (18's).

What skis are you on? Some skis are a lot more prone to broken bindings then others
