Rossi FKS question

Sup NS ,

i bought myself a pair of Rossignol FKS 140 XXL on 2014 soul riders. I'm not familiar with fks since i've had markers all my life. My question is: is there a way to tighten the vertical realease and the pivot? one is perfect but the other one shakes

and is really easy to make the pivot turn. Both dins are exactly the same.

cheers

What do you mean by vertical release ? If it's cause the your boot is a bit to short, you can do small adjustments : when your boots are clipped in, you can screw it a bit to tighten it up. The screws I'm talking about are on the side of you tail piece.

French version here :

Je vais y aller en français since you seem to be from Quebec.

À part c'est trois ajustements là, à ma connaisse, ya rien que tu peux faire pour empêcher la pièce talon de trop tourner quand tu te déclip, which is a pain in the ass, but it's for you safety though... Même chose pour le mouvement vertical du talon...

Pourquoi es ce que tu veux que le pivot tourne moin facilement? Ca fait aucune difference au moment que tu es clippé dans tes skis.

True, some are just looser than others but it doesn't make a difference when you're clicked in. All you need to worry about is setting the forward pressure evenly using quarter turns. FKS look complicated but they're actually extremely simple

Aaaah! 3 posts consécutifs en français sur NS!!!

Btw i was looking for a thread about fks bindings, should i go for them or marker? I tend to brake bindings often and have a bad history with rossignol (broke 3 shitty axiums in 1 season), I do as much park as pow and need a din at around 8 to 10?? +k for help!

Just y a better binding, the Axium is a piece, it's basically a rental binding, the hardest gear abuser I know rides FKS because they're all metal. If your going to a marker, get a jester or jester pro because they are made out of metal instead do composite in key areas

yeah i would have gotten those from marker, but i might be easier for me to get rossignols, are marker worth it? Do you think fks would be better? Same?

Go for sth or older peaks. Better durability the jesters or fks 140. The fks 180 is a beast but it's heavy and costs so much. See if you can find a sth 14 from last season or a peak 15.

Salomin were going to release a sth 16 steel Seth pro model but it never happened unfortunately. They looked awsome though.

Not going to lie I wish I would've gone with the 14s instead of the 18s. I also have rock the soul riders and the whole setup is extremely heavy with the all metal bindings. I went with the 18s because I found them for cheaper than the 14s.

Same thing happened to me a few years ago with my S3. Found 18s cheap in BST, but they are way too heavy.. I'll never go back again on 18s
