Rose Battersby hurt.

Commentators have announced that Rose took a nasty fall.

They have said she is awake and talking, but not moving.

Hope she gets up and about soon.

Just seen some awful video footage, landed flat on her back, slid down the side, through the fence.

She's being taken to a hospital in Aspen.

From what ESPN replayed/showed, looks like she landed on her back on the knuckle and slid down the side of the jump landing over the fence into the snowmobile tow up road. Sending positive thoughts her way, really hoping its nothing too serious and just procedural protocols for dealing with neck/back pain & c-spine immobilization for packaging.

I have a hard time seeing guys rag on how the girls are competing/skiing in the slopestyle finals right now. It's gotta be extremely tough for them to compete on that course, after watching Rose go down and losing Sarah last year.

As a competitor you train to push that sort of distraction out of your mind when you compete/prep for your run, but it's extremely hard to do.

Here's to hoping its a relatively minor injury and for a speedy recovery for Rose. Mad respect for all the girls still throwing down on course despite losing one of their fellow competitors to a gnarly injury.

ESPN haven't announced anything yet.

@Nadia, I 100% agree. The women in this sport deserve more respect, they train and compete just as hard as everyone else. Sure they're not throwing dubs on every run, but they are having so much fun out there and that's all we can ask of them!

And now it looks like Ashley Battersby is hurt.

Kind of an update.

I don't like posting this (mods, if you find it too distasteful then delete this post), seeing as some of you kids aren't happy without some proof...

Well if thats all you can ask then I should be a pro athlete too, all I do is go out and have fun and not throw dubs (Sorry, I had to).

Back to the topic at hand, thats pretty gnarly, I hope it isnt too serious. Knuckles are always the worst. Luckily the pro patrol there seem top notch so she was in good hands.
