Ron Paul 2012

Lately I've been following the political race, and I really believe in Ron Paul. Do you guys like him? He really makes a lot of sense I don't see why people don't.

(Sorry for the political shitstorm guys)

inb4 shit storm

I like him more than Willard, Rick Assjuice, and Giant Baby Head, but I like him less than Gary Johnson (who? exactly) and I like him more than Obama on some issues that are really important and less than him on some other issues that are really important, so if it came down to Obama vs Paul I can't say how I'd vote.

I really don't think he has a chance though since his opponents have the big money.

He's racist and anti-semitic. He's got decent policy ideas but I don't think he's got a chance for candidacy since 90% of his supporters are redditors

If he was given more coverage by the media, and people actually understood what he stood for before judging him upon his appearance and the way he tends to ramble and stutter, he would be at the top of all the polls. Unfortunately, Americans are much to shallow and ignorant to even listen to his message and give him a shot at contending. Also, this two-party system in America is terrible, and the emergence of the libertarian party into the mix of things is much needed. Fortunately, if not this election, but the elections to come, many people are coming to realize that libertarianism is filled with a bunch of great ideas that essentially take economic policies from the right and mix it with social policies from the left.

Please do some research on Ron Paul before you jump to conclusions. And by research, I don't mean what is spoon fed to you by major mainstream media.

He is actually the only one who makes sense.

Word heady bro, you're such a free thinker. Instead of trusting me to do research that will obviously lead to more spoon feeding, why don't you pick up the plate and dish out that knowledge.

fuck that...all the republicans are nut cases and cant separate church from state and will be horrible presidents

I as a person like Ron Paul. But for the Majority of America his ideas are far too Radical. Many Americans can't see that leagilizing things suck as pot or prostitution could be beneficial to lowering crime rates. Just my 2 cents..

obviously leagalizing two of the most commited crimes in society will lower the crime rate. Idiot

All this talk of ants reminds me of the dolphins in hitchhikers guide to the universe. The humans thought they' were smarter than the dolphins because theyd made automobiles and wars and new York and all the dolphins had ever done was swim around smiling and eating fish, and the dolphins thought teu were smarter than the humans for the same reason.

Im going to guess your making this judgment based off of photos involving the likes of the webmaster of stormfront.org, along with the old grandwizard of the KKK. Think how many people ask him for a picture.. do you expect him to know EVERY single person he poses with?

Probably that and the Ron Paul newsletters of te early 90s which contained a lot of really bad racism/anti semitism/homophobia. He claims now that he didn't write them or know about them at the time but they're definitely really racist.

He's technically a libertarian, he's just running as a republican in order to gain official candidacy and money

I feel his policies only work in theory and not in reality, just like Marxism. They're both too radical to succeed in such a massive government and nation.

Arguing with people about why Ron Paul is a good candidate is the most frustrating thing. It seems like everybody has some vague reasons for disliking him ("he's insane," "he's too radical," "his foreign policy is dumb"). However, when you actually talk to these people, it's clear they have no idea what they're talking about. Most people will back up their claims with obscure evidence or more unsubstantiated claims.

However, when you really get down to the core of his policy, you see it's really quite reasonable. He wants to end a destructive, failing drug war; he wants to avoid foreign conflict; and supports a literal reading of the constitution.

Paul has 3 semi-good stances:

1.) Eliminating the Fed Reserve

2.) Drug Policy

3.) Foreign Policy

everything else is generally batshit insane!

the only reason he is still in the running is because he wants to legalize weed...and a lot of people like weed

these are the 3 most controversial topics! Of which he owns nearly anyone trying to shut his point of view down!!

what on earth else could be seen as insane??

he is the most common sense politician I have ever seen!!

Its pretty sad that America is not for the constitution and freedom. actually kinda fucked up if you dont support a man like Ron Paul.

The big wigs of America will never let him get close to becoming president. I'd actually be interested in politics if Ron Paul had more backing by Americans. He's a beast.

explain this position

i'm all for freedom, and ron paul is not the way.

the damn guy would eliminate the dept. of education for one of many examples

Paul actually has the balls to stop the wars. I guess you guys like seeing American people blown up everyday in some other country?

he wants to take the US troops out of all countries...that may save our troops but gets a shit ton of other people killed because we are the peace keepers. without us the whole world would be at war with each other. also, we take away our international troops and try and coop up in our little america then people will think they can try and attack us. saying "im taking all of our troops out from foreign countries" may sound good at first, but just logically think about what would happen and you will realize how stupid it is

Exactly... We're the fuckers that are fuckin' everything up. No ones gonna try to attack us if we pull our troops. Their*

What is wrong with eliminating the dept of education?

If education is for profit. are you really receiving the education you require? Huge topic in itself but I see him believing in cutting the huge waste and over excessive spending! Also his values are about taking care of yourself and having personal responsibilty! getting the beurocrats and special interests out of the way are vital if you want some form of quality of services. This is relative to all forms of service, whether healthcare or educationt, or just allowing people to dictate their own lives.

makes complete sense to me!

The department of education is a waste of money and a joke. Public schools are now controlled by the judicial system and the executive branch of the government. The money goes to the bureaucrats not the school systems. Home schooling and private schooling that you are able to "write off" is the future. Ron Paul wants the people and parents to be able to control the curriculum.

when it comes down to it, i think paul supporters will plug their nose and vote for whoever makes it through the primaries

Meaning what? Obama is not where it's at bro. I hope more people take the time to actually find out what Dr Paul is about... he really could change the world for the better.
