Roll over ads

I'm sure NS is making more money on these, or at least they better be. I have been getting annoyed with the Oakley outerware rollover ads on the right of the page (mainly because they are raunchy and in poor taste). AND I bought no less than 4 pieces of Oakley outerware this season. At least they intentionally kept this rollover in the side bar, and had something stationary up top.

However, I went on this morning and got much more annoyed with a rollover ad in the TOP ad space. It was for something about diabetes. I could care less about the ad itself.

The PROBLEM is that a rollover ad was placed right below the main navigation bar. Not cool. You pretty much automatically mouse over that anytime you navigate anywhere on this site.

I searchbarred and came up blank on this subject... So, let me be the first of many to publicly OPPOSE ROLLOVERS IN THE TOP AD BAR.

And one more rant on Oakley: your recent ads here are gross. Learn a trick from Smith who have sweet videos for ads.
 
Like with EVERY OTHER ad rant thread I will give the same response. While we do make suggestions to our advertisers on what kinds of banners work well with the site, we DO NOT control what these companies submit to the space they paid for.
 
Arent there just an assload? Its getting ridiculous. No fuck that it was ridiculous during the double pits to chesty advertising era
 
they are not getting more money for this, specifically. which sucks for everyone, especially the site.

but that's how it is.
 
well you should only get the banner space you pay for. and it shouldn't make sound. what other respectable sites do you see that on?
