Rodeos / Cork ... From Tramp to Snow??

So last year i was planning on trying rodeos and corks on snow.. the only problem was, i had no idea what they even felt like.. well after trampin for a good amount of time this summer, i've got them both on lockdown with 3 or 4 grabs each.. now, my question is.

What's the difference going to feel like from Tramp to Snow?

Will i have to throw harder? (because skis obviously)

What size jump to try on first? (airtime of tramp = or =/=)

or is it just different all together..

for corks its all about commitment. The skis do add weight of course, but wont hold you back if you can do them confidently on trampolines. if you can find a soft landing then practice there because falling on soft snow is basically like falling a tramp, its very hard to hurt yourself. Rodeos, i have no idea :)

good luck

rodeos are different but if you have them dialed perfectly where you will land the same spot 10/10 times on a tramp you will know what to do on snow

Both tricks are all about commitment, if you know how to set the spin and commit you'll be fine. And about jump size, i'd say 25-30ft to start, that's what i learned on. You could do it off smaller obviously, but hucked tricks don't look good IMO

these were my first two inverted/off axis tricks
Cork 7: I had them dialed on the tramp and i found that when taking them to snow you had to make yourself go alot more inverted then how i set it on the tramp. I did it off a 35-40ft jump and had no problems.
Rodeo 5: i only got these off of a quarter pipe which i suggest for first tries because it is hard to get it to be true rodeo. Play around with it until u got it down.

for rodeos, i started by doing just side flips then adding a 180 for the rodeo its all about commiting and it'll come, i went from not doing those at all to doing lincolns and rodeos off like 25 footers first day there was jumps at my hill so u can do it too!

My learning was the exact opposite of this, cork 7s for me came first in the halfpipe from doing handplant 3s, to 5s then just hucking off a small step up. taking it to a jump was pretty tough for me cus i hurt myself trying underflips a few times. but eventually i just sacked up and tried it when it was right for me and after that i had it dialed. Rodeos (flatspins) i had those dialed on the tramp and they came super easy to me the second day doing them on skis i could throw like any grab i wanted in and still stomp them.
At any rate trampolining helped me out a ton for learning tricks, and once you get the balls to try them on snow it will feel like you've been doing them for years.
