Rodeo 5 vs Flat 5

There literally isnt a difference and one day im going to prove it fr mark my words.

Ppl don’t know wtf a flatspin is anyways nobody can agree. Some say its like the Henrik “orbital” style and some say its closer to a whackflip/rodeo but either way its not a real trick because a whackflip is just a more inverted rodeo (its set the exact same). And the “orbital” style is just a bio just not as flippy but its set the exact same

flatspins are total bullshit and my goal is to convince everyone to eliminate flatspins and just call a flat 3 a rodeo 3 BECUASE ITS SET THE EXACT FUCKING SAME ITS THE SAME TRICK. Its kinda like d-spin vs cork but at least d-spins are noticeably set different. A d-spin is thrown totally backwards over the shoulders and is a flip whereas a cork isnt set the same and isnt a flip. A flatspin and rodeo are set the exact fucking same its retarded

Doesnt matter if you think a flatspin is orbital or whackflippy its still fucking retarded and it doesnt belong in skiing.

if anyone disagrees with that 1. Fuck you, im very passionate about this and 2. I plan on further proving this one day so stay tuned

Where’s a good place to learn what tricks are what, Like how to visually relate the text “rodeo 3” to visual of that trick ? I don’t know what most tricks are

for instance I tell people I can 3 , but is it? My head/feet and more horizontal during spin and skis slightly vertical , for whatever reason this helps me see, when I say t spin I lose wtf I’m at and bail a good percent of time

Flat 5 isnt even a thing, its just rodeo 5. There is only flat 3. Thats all just flat 3 there is no other flat spin.

Honestly they're so close. I've always thought of them as basically the same but the rodeo going more inverted and the flat staying as close to flat as possible. Always seems like you could swap the names in many cases on a trick and it would be accepted though.

Idk if that's correct but my .02

This is correct. Flat spin is flat, rodeo is slightly inverted. Someone made a good graphic explaining everything, it's somewhere deep in the forums.

Slapp used to be great for this. You could watch endless amounts of flat spins (or rodeos) to see the tiny nuances. What ever happened to Slapp?

They’re not the same trick at all.

you’re wrong.

rodeos are fully inverted and are thrown more forward so you roll off your shoulder.

flat spins are thrown back and to the side and your body flattens out which is why it is called a flat spin. Your feet never go completely over your head.

fuck you back

Flat 3 is the only true flat spin change my mind.

THIS. Flat 5s don’t exist and you can fight me on that.

also, a flat 3 is not a rodeo 3. Way more Z axis/Lincoln loop rotation.

I find it pretty funny that this is down voted when it’s the most true post in the thread.

Your foot never go over your head in a real flat spin. Everyone just calls the truck by the wrong name. A flat three is not possible unless you tried it in the pipe. What everyone calls a flat three is just a wackflip.

this argument will never end. And to the dude who said bios aren’t real, lol good one.

Whackflips are accepted as flat 3s because your feet are slightly to the side therefore not directly over

This is a flat 7 according to the mogul skier in the video so honestly I have no idea anymore. I think of a rodeo as more of a lincoln loopish rotation while a flatspin has more back flip but isn't straight back. they're interchangeable but I would say that the requirement for a rodeo is that you get close to inverted while that isn't necessarily true with a flat spin.

Bunch of ignorant ass 15 year olds that never grew up watching pep and Simon throwing legit flat 3’s

they’re not the same trick in the slightest bit. If you put whackflips in the same category I should get smacked.

idc if I get downvoted tho cuz Ik I’m correct.

Maybe the reason people call rodeos flat spins is because “rodeo spin” sounds way tackier and stupider.
