I don't think I've ever seen a rodeo/flat 7 or 9 in the pipe, not once. Anybody care to post a video of one or perhaps enlighten me as to why they've never been done?

Almost every single compition skier does them at least once in their runs....? its always alley-oop but t has definately been done....

since you were looking for doubles as well, isnt torin's dub a dub flat 9?

last hit of his x games run here:

you're right, they must be pretty rare since I don't recall ever seeing any trick like that before. Looks pimp as fuck.

Dumonts ally oop 7's look more corked than flat. Unless I was just looking at the wrong video. It's like somebody forgot to do flat 7's in the pipe or something

margetts and Rolland are two of the people i can think of that do true, non-ally-ooped flat fives in the pipe (maybe gus too?)

they both have dub flats as well. I feel as though it's got to be such a hard trick to do. pop SUUPER hard, square up, and then initiate. must be so easy to drift over the deck.

yeah his were almost a bio rotation but if i remember correctly, he was doing ally oop 9's and possibly a 10 a few years ago when he was wearing that baby blue suit.

Pretty sure John Symms was throwing them at pipe comps back in the days. For some reason, I have a memory of him throwing a flat 7 or 9 at a pipe grand prix in like 2008. It's kind of weird that nobody are throwing some at pipe comps.

There is a few people that do them Flat 7's that is, but I think this year I only saw maybe 1 person do it in competition, not sure who it was, some small name. But I remember Sean Field use to do semi off axis alley-oop 9's which were about as close to flat 9 in the pipe as I have ever seen.

Yep, definitely not on the axis I finally found. I'd be interested if somebody could find footy of Sean Field doing what one of the above posters described.

I dont think anyone has filmed or even done legit down the hill(non-allyopp) flat(non-inverted) 7s or 9s. someone prove me wrong!

that would be an extremely odd rotation and axis. ive seen a snowboarder do fs rodeo 7 or 9 down the pipe once and it was crazy looking. but never have i seen someone do bs rodeo down the pipe above 540.

i don't know where to find it but i remember a video of crighton doing down the pipe flat 9 at the wsi like a long time ago

WTF.

And the Sean Field ones look pretty similar to what Dumont used to do, just a little corky, not really flatspins.
