Rode VideoMic problems

Here is the issue, I had my Mic in my bag and it somehow got bumped on.

When I found this out the batteries had been completely depleted and there was build up all over where the battery connects. I cleaned the build up off and put in new batteries but now my mic won't even turn on! fack!

Does anyone have experience with something like this? Do I need to buy a new mic? Would that be warrantied? Halp?!

Sorry for using ns as google but I haven't been able to find anything online about this.
 
just send that shit in

my mic got fuckin ran over and i told the people at rode mic and i didn't have it wasn't under warranty, I didn't have verification of purchase, but they are fixing it for free. The people over at rode are awesome
