Rockered park ski?

Hey, Im getting new skis for the next season. Im either getting the Liberty Lte or the Armada Halo.

They are pretty simular right? Light, Pretty butterish, Low swingweight and works outside the park.

But I was just wondering what the Cons/Pros with/without rockered park skis is. Thanks and +K for good answers =D

Pros:

Edge catching is alot harder to do.

Tip is high so less likley to hit it getting on an urban rail.

Buttery as tits

The rockered tip makes the ski want to track up when carving creating more satisfying carving in my opimiom (debatable)

Cons:

Less running surface so its less stable

a bit strange to figure out at first.

I strongly agree with this dude.

Probably the first 2 days you will hate them, once you get used to them, you will love them.

The LTE isn't rockered. That Liberty Anitgen, however is. Had my hands on a pair the other day. Can't say which is better, but I'll give you that much.

So if I dont have a chamber ski it will be much harder stomping tricks and being stable in the park?

What about the Halo, the Halo is a rockered chamber ski?

No the camber will absorb some of the shock of landings but it's nit super noticeable.....you will notice it on the takeoff moreso as ya won't get that pop or extra rebound as your skis leave the ground....I will tell ya though that a rocker with camber underfoot is pretty much my fav right now....ya still get some of the pop but the rocker shape increases your butter/press capabilities.....it also makes it easier to Ollie over stuff or launch off natural features you normally wouldn't....like someone said earlier, it takes some gettin used to but once ya do you'll be in love.

advantages of rocker in park => usually easier butters

the ski feels shorter than it actually is

the ski is less "hooky" and more forgiving

the ski also will hook less on rails and boxes

disadvantages:

shorter running length makes the ski less stable at higher speeds and while "stomping" landings

(personal observation) the ski has less of a tendency to "rail" through the crud/ice, youll feel irregularities even better, but on the other hand a rockered ski will also "jib better through crud that has accumulated around fallen gapers...

the anitigen and lte are pretty sick but of the two the lte is better

the antigen yeah it does come in a longer length 184 sweet. there is early rise to keep from catching on ruts in booters. faster turning radius.

cons of the antigen is the fucking extruded bases yeah it can take abuse but it will not hold wax for shit so having speed will be a motherfucker.

the lte yeah it doesnt come in a 178 but it is still stable. its flex is super fun yet stable. it has a standard base so it can maintain speed.
