Hey NS,

im looking at getting the on3p filthy riches. however, ive never skied a rockered park ski on ice. i live in australia where every second day is ice so i need something which will have some control on the ice. thoughts on if i should buy the ski or not?

K+ for helpful answers

cheers

Of course Rocker wont ski to nicely on boiler plate ice. But for skiing icy spring conditions, I've never had too much of a problem.

If you have a detune underfoot, the a rockered ski can get a bit sketchy on ice if you're really laying down hard carving turns. Other then that, I've never really found it to be that bad.

filthy riches are more of a park specific ski anyway where making solid turns isn't really necessary. I detune my edges for rails anyway but I have another ski that's primee for groomers and all mountain for those days that i'm not feeling the park and I keep those edges sharp.

Living on the ice coast of america so i feel you.

It's really more about your camber and edge tune on ice. Everything sucks on ice though, I recommend not skiing on it personally.
