Rock no gloves/mittens?

Recently i've been skiing without gloves or mittens,(mainly because of spring) and it is fantastic. I only recently started skiing without poles. i never understood why people did before, but now i completely understand. skiing without poles or gloves is sensational! i don't know why, but just dangling my arms makes skiing feel better. i wear the Lüft jacket and usually just lut my hands in my sleeves when i hit jumps or rails so that if i fall i dont get nasty snowburns on my hand.

do you ski without gloves/mittens?

I rarely use gloves anymore, mostly because of filming. I find if i don't wear gloves im less motivated to grab and/or try tricks cause falling without gloves sucks, so Ill wear mittens time to time but it usually to warm.

falling without poles isnt that bad in imo. Also for me trying new grabs sucks without gloves because I am clumsy Af and slam my finger into my edges.

When it is warm enough i usually won't wear anything on my hands. Wearing hand condoms makes it things feel dull. i think i can hold grabs better when i have that tactility of bare hands, it feels better.

My hands are always cold so I wear mittens unless its really warm. Wish I could go without them tho, having bare hands looks pretty liberating

No gloves makes you awesome. Especially when its super fucking cold.

Keep your core extra warm and it isn't even that bad.

just buy 5 dollar work gloves from a gas station. they protect your hands and are cheap and not very warm. if you buy the ones with the breathable back material it helps too

Pretty much anytime its nice weather and above 35 I'll take them off for a few runs. I did it this weekend and I've got some pretty bad cuts but it was worth it

i only ski with gloves when its below 30. my hands have gotten used to falling on the snow and it no longer hurts

I broke my thumb when I spent my spring break in Park City, I couldn't fit my hand in my glove because it was so swollen so I went bare handed for the rest of break. I also got to shake Andy Parrys hand with my broken hand hurt like a bitch but was cool.

gotta have gloves. i rock a pair of the la familia spring gloves and they are super light/minimal, but they keep your hands dry and prevent cuts/snowburn.

skiing in just tee shirts though (tall tees) is the shit. so comfortable on warm days

every once in a while ill ditch the gloves but i still use poles, i just like the freedom that no gloves gives you..... right up until you drag your hand threw the "snow" and cheese grate it.

Always gloves, even when it's 50 out. Can't deal with ice burn and cutting my hands on edges / getting fiberglass splinters. Pipe gloves all the way when it's warm.

Rode Snowfelx without gloves and tore my hand open pretty good. I've had the same happen to me on snow, but not as bad. So yes. Gloves all the time

Only done it for taking pikchures or filming. Or I guess if my mitten is occupied as a koozie.

Falling without gloves sucks. I really don't see anything special. It's not like skinny dipping, it just feels the same accept if it's cold your hands freeze and if you fall they get cut to shit.

The LaFa spring gloves are fucking awesome.

I have a scar on my thumb from scraping it on the snow a couple years ago. Skiing without gloves is kind of like french frying when you should pizza

Fucked my hands up so bad last spring skiing without gloves. Never fucking again. 75 degrees a week and a half ago and you bet your ass I was still wearing mittens.

I had no problem with the tank top I was skiing in though so maybe I'm just slow

Tried it. Not only is it not very liberating, its just uncomfortable. Falling in the spring slush was like taking a cheese grater to my hand, there was blood everywhere. Also whenever I tried to grab id get all bruised up. By the end of the day my hand looked like a piece of pizza

I hate skiing with gloves. Climber hands can deal with the cold, or something. I'm not a scientist. Gloves suck.

Thats said, best gloves on the planet are some $10 sheepskin lined work gloves.
