Road tripping Toronto --> Mountain View and need your help

It's been an ungodly amount of time since I've posted on NS, yet it still feels like home. Oh ya! Here's what I need help with.

I'm road tripping 4,200KM+ to Mountain View, California and need your help. I want you to tell me which unique places I must visit. The only parameters being we need to arrive in 5 days of driving. Our current route has us stopping at these places. http://goo.gl/KO70H

Night 1: South of Chicago, Illinois

Night 2: Lincoln, Nebraska

Night 3: Rawlins, Wyoming

Night 4: Battle Mountain Nevada

And for the triple post.

That route is only 2 days and 8 hours. You will see everything you need to and then some. Defiantly stop in Vegas and Stay at Circus Circus. The hotel is a shithole but I just stayed there for $36 a night and had a crazy fun time on the cheap on my way to the grand canyon.
 
You're going to be like 45 mins south of Chicago. Definitely spend some time in the city since you're going to be that close.
 
i did toronto to bc a couple months ago through the states theres aot of crazy shit like 50 chicken mcnuggets for 9.99 and the worlds biggest indoor water park thats open 24/7 )thts round chicago on the i74 west o watever
there were lots of 24 hour ski hills on the highways but mostly its shitty flat praries
 
wait...why and where in MV you going?

Some really cool nature type stuff is up in the hills, outside of MV. pm me if you want ideas of shit to do when you arrive.
