go for a lemond. you can get used ones relatively cheap, and they're super well made. see if you can find a used Buenos Aires thats in good shape. i have an older one (2002) so its a steel frame, but im not doing crits on it or anything, so its super plush, but still light enought to be pretty sweet. other bikes to look at are the specialized allez & allez pro, and you might check into the K2 line of mods (mod 3.0, 4.0, 5.0 etc) . good luck with that

yuck, you'll be known as the pussy from this day on if you do that. Do something manly, like cut her initials into your chest or something.

giant - jsut make sure it fits right. going carbon or alluminum makes it so much nicer, but if you dont bike as your main hobby, steel wont kill you. get a good seat, and handle bars, and everything so its confy and fits and then deal with the weight

serotta or seven..........except you're not going to want to spend a lot of $$ so I suppose you are forced into getting a commerical brand like trek, specialized, etc.

pretty much all the same for low end models, its not like they need loads strength and technology to withstand abuse. but if u can get a lemond they are siick. or specialized makes nice bikes

noone can afford serrottas, but they are pretty sick... our most expensive bike (at my work place) is a serrotta. its going for about 4500 bucks stock. i'd still go for a used lemond or allez or allez pro. the allez pro is one of the best bang for your buck bikes out there.

treks are a very well rounded solid brand for road bikes

just start beatboxin on the intercom it would be so funny. then push the gum rack over on the floor, tackle somebody and burst outta there

road bikes are stupid. why would you want to ride where you can drive? get a mountain bike, so much more fun too.
