RMU skis has put there tele team on next years alpine freestyle ski. What does everyone think about that?

i think it is puting a bad name towards rmu.

Secure your heels and secure your manhood!

But no, it shouldn't give them a bad name, free heel or fixed, one plank or two, we all shred the gnar.

really? cmon now. it still astonishes me how people wont accept tele skiers. what does it matter if teler's will be riding next years alpine freestyle ski? teler's can rip just as hard, if not harder, as people who have there heels locked down.

Wait what?

You really think tele skiers riding a ski gives that ski a bad name?

You realize that using that logic, our sport itself probably wouldn't exist.

screw you in the ass. tele came first, and its your heritage. respect it, i swear to god im so sick of people downing telemark skiing. there is nothing we cant do that you can, and we can do more than you for that matter. you like progression?your lookin at it. tele skiing is sick!

im confused by this thread.

your saying that tele skiiers on an alpine ski is a bad thing for a company? this doesnt make sense, maybe they dont have the money to develop a tele specific ski, and either way, does it really matter??

I have sooooo much respect for tele skiers. Something I definitely want to try. However, you can't say that you can do more than alpine skiers. I would like to see you ride pipe, for one thing.

That is not to say that we can do more than you either - I firmly believe that each sport has their strengths and weaknesses, and that in terms of things we can do we are equally matched.

tele skier's can ride pipe....and by more i believe he means we are doing more by dropping are knees

I think your an IDIOT. The tele team for RMU is ridiculous. Those guys shred harder than most of the people in this thread do with their heels locked down. And the guys on Tele are cool as cucumbers, and have MANLY facial hair.

WOW. Shouldn't you just be stoked for your company that these guys are out there gettin noticed? I've met most of the tele team at Breck, they've been super chill, and just fuckin inspiring...I see them constantly, doin insan-o shit, and just having fun skiing, on their skis, which are just skis..
Alpine or Tele or Snowboard, it's fuckin sliding on snow, and it's about having fun. It's not about proving how much better you are than everyone else..and it's not about hating on anyone...From Gapers to Hypesters to Gunsols to Good People, it's about having fun..or at least it should be.
There's a milliion Austin Brown's out there, get over yourself.

couldn't disagree with you more. some of the shit those guys are doing up at breck right now is just straight nutty. I respect them for just going out there and doing what they are passionate about and having fun in the process. They have all been super nice when I've ridden the lift, and contrary to your original point, made me want to get on a pair of RMUs.

I'm actually quite sure one of the RMU guys does sick nose press to backside 270 out in one of their earlier edits this year.

well since nordic skiing probably started with some vikings hacking each other up in the snow with double sided battle axes nordic skiing is sweet. tele' gay. its a nock off and doesnt follow progression of the sport. especially when teler's make it so there heels dont even come up. lame. tele skiing is full of stupid hippie old folks that cant make a real turn. now you know.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.so rossignol and K2 have a bad name for the sheer fact that freeheelers ride for them?
stop hating just because our heels aren't locked down and our style is different.

just because you tele skiiers arent good enough at alpine skiing doesnt mean trying to fulfil another niche to try to make a name for your self. if you can do dub 16's or dub misty 14's or 12's in the backcountry you can talk but you cant. put on your garmonts and climb mountains where no one else skis so we dont have to associate with you.

haha im right there with you. austin your retarded for making this thread. austin, you should take some lessons in how to not piss off your sponsors. youll never be more then average and i hope you get dropped for something so retarded.

To the OP...

Have you ever skied tele? Try it if you haven't, and come back and tell us all how easy it is. Some statements don't deserve response, but this one was so BLINDLY ignorant that it almost knocked me outta my chair.

I started telemarking last year, and I'm a long way from being good at it. It's nowhere near as easy as alpine.

FYI -- I hope you aren't going to shun me when I mount some Hammerheads on my Walls...

riiiigh, because Dylan makes RMU look bad. If he didn't have a broken collar bone, he'd knock you out.

umm, what??? you clearly have no fuckin clue what you're talkin about...

It's a different sport...period. Let me do my thing because I have fun doin it, more fun than i have alpining, so I'll continue doin it..

Nobody's tellin you you have to switch, so why the fuck are you tellin us it's stupid? It's not your thing, cool....it's ours.

More telemarking. Just some guys having fun on snow, if it's not your thing, who cares? It's ours.

^this one's in the top rated somewhere....two hate votes dropped it from tenth to 140th, so if you like it, please rate it what it's worthy of...(i realize with all the tele haters this'll probly have a negative effect, but i don't really care...I just want to get the tele scene some exposure.)

SWEET PICS!! Interesting smattering of bindings. What do you think of the NTN's? If they could just get the bugs worked out... I'm using HH's & T1's. Got a pair of Walls I'm going to mount up, but I'm REALLY struggling where to mount the bindings, as they'll be used all-mt (no switch, boxes, etc...). Any thoughts on that? I'm thinking about 2-3 cm back from the freeride line.

I think you'd be set with that...when I'm healthy, i ski park 1/2cm back from true center, and all mountain 1-2cm behind suggested midsole...I ski closer to the center than most tele-ers, so if you expect to be skiin any pow or even chop, I'd go at least 3

Hey everyone sorry about this post!i was Young and dumb and this was stupid as fuck for me to post and everyone in here makes a great point the tele skiers do " rip the shit on of some lines"

because a year older makes you not young..

but seriously, I can't believe the language I used in this thread. someone should smack me.

tele skiing is sick. the only reason i dont do it is because i dont want to invest in new gear or re learn how to ski
