Looking to support local brands, any insight on this ski for progressing into more trees and bumps in the resort and powder ? In Colorado, local company. Also, looking to see what the new nomad 106 is.

check out the fatypus m5. 106mm waist and a 5 point design so they are super agile for a 106mm waisted ski. Perfect one ski quiver for trees, bumps, powder and in bounds. Manufactured in Colorado so still supporting local businesses

RMU's are sick! I've only heard good things and have mounted/serviced a fair few pairs; seem like really fun planks. Have yet to ski on them though

Those look real interesting, seems they are in VT now but still a smaller business to support. Not much info on them

They're a super small brand, not a ton of info on them aside from insider knowledge. If you talk to anyone who skis them they'll tell you the quality is insanely good and the flex is super nice. Perfect blend of playful and stable. I know the owner, he still manufacturers in Breckenridge. He basically sells the skis out of his garage in Vermont but they're still manufactured in Colorado. I've been skiing fatypus for 10 years now and can confirm they're super fun skis.

The company mentioned the B.U. As a solid choice as well. Wish there was a demo:)

The BU is a sweet ski as well. the bu, m5 and a-game are all similar in shape it just depends on how much snow you plan on getting into. You can always reach out and see if they have demos near you. I know they do a demo tour every season. Also on the website they list their retailers, you can see if any of the colorado shops have any to demo. Here's their listed retailers in CO, idk if you are near any of them

Thanks, my extra bindings are attack 14 110, so likley fit the M5 better, I would love as much snow as possible, but realistically 12-14” s typically on the high end here in CO unless it is has a few days to accumulate.

For sure. The m5 probably be the best fit.
