i love wen contests like this pop up, while i feel i'll never be able to come close to qualifying, it is awesome seeing the edits that people are hoping wil take them somewhere. good luck everyone !

In my opinion, skiing is the most fun when you are pushing your self as hard as you can and you have competition. I would get somewhat bored of skiing park if I never tried to push myself and my friends as hard as possible. So if you get optimum enjoyment out of taking it easy and just getting away from everything else in life, do that. But realize that different people have fun in different ways on the mountain.

Skiing is still fun! RMU/First Drop and NS think this is a great opportunity for some people to get hooked up with opportunities and killer gear for having fun. All that is required here is to have fun, film that fun and put it in an edit. By doing that someone is going to get hooked up large, likely someone who may not have the opportunity and exposure to get that any other way.

i understand your point and do take into consideration that there are

different ways people have fun. making videos is fun, dont get me wrong. but

i feel like theres way too many kids out there making videos for the

sole purpose of getting sponsored. contests like this promote so much of

that to the point where it takes a good amount of the fun out of

skiing.. im not gonna lie, i used to kind of be like that too, but i

actually sold my camera over the summer this year and i dont regret it

one bit. im having so much more fun skiing this season than ive ever

had. i just hope the kids who enter this contest dont forget that the purpose of skiing is to have a good time while theyre filming their videos.

ever consider the idea that maybe people get more out of competition/sponsored skiing than trying to make money?

It is true filming is fun, learning new tricks is fun, editing is fun for people who edit it thing, and seeing a finished piece of work is really fun especially if it is really good which some of the entries will be i believe

how is this contest any different than regular sponsor me videos?

in the end the company picks anyways. lame

Actually In the end it is a NS vote and the RMU and First Drop Teams who decides wins. The internal part of each company have no part in picking who will win the contest just the teams. So good luck everyone! Get out there and GTS!RMU

5 mins is too long.. theres no way i'm gonna watch 30+ 5 minute edits during the season and i'm sure i'm not the only one.. plus there will end up being loads of filler..

NO LONGER THAN.,.... it has to be under 5 minutes. sooooo i think ull be good. i bet most will be like 2-3 minutes of kids best stuff
