RMR viscinity to revelstoke

I will hopefully be working at revelstoke this season but I dont have a car and I'm wondering if the mountain is within walking distance of the town? When I worked at sun peaks the lift was 40 minutes away from staff accom so Im used to walking in the cold. The town looks close in all the pictures Ive seen but im not too sure. Also if anyone has info on cheap accomodations in revelstoke it would be greatly appreciated, im looking into it now but I think it may be too early. thanks for the help

I have heard that the mountain is a 5 minute drive from the town but i dont know for sure.

I do know that it is pretty close and you will easily be able to hitch.

walkings possible but it would be very very gay.

hitchhiking is a very feasible option, go with that.

yeah, I had figured I'd hitch or find a ride with someone else who works there, but I just wanted to know if it's possible if all else fails. thanks for the help.

I live 20 minutes from Golden and that is 15 minutes from the hill. I don't mind hitching, I enjoy meeting people.

this year walking will be easier with the gondola extension all the way to the bottom parking lot of last year but just hitch hike.. lol i'll pick you up if i see you.
