^hold your horses! first tell us all what skis your mounting them to. also what kind of skiing you do. if you do alot of groomers, or race, the risers may be a good idea. park? do not use them. as for powder, i don't really know.
i have the risers on my PEs and they word fine for me in the park. it's really just a matter of personal preference. that and if you're a halfway decent skier, it won't matter if you have a lousy extra centimeter underfoot.

i have Look P14's on my motherships and i had them mounted with the risers they are not that much of a lift and they do help in edge to edge control. my buddy has the 179 pistols and he said he didn't use the riser from his bindings and doesn't like the ride as much.

before you mount make sure your screws arn't too long...sometimes you can't just take off the plate becuase the screws will be too long and you will fuck up your skis.
man they are not that big why would you mess with it???? they don't negitivly effect your ridding but they do help on edge to edge control. look how small they are on my P14's
