RIP Teddy Knape / T3 Media

Teddy passed away dooing what he loved today. He was the main filmer for Theory-3 media, and was the guy responcible for capturing some of the best most progressive new school skiing.

Teddy, was the nicest guy I have ever met and was the more stoked about skiing than anyone I have ever met. For the last three years, Teddy has been at my side shooting video everyday I have been shooting stills. I had justgotten back from shootingan entirely new area today, and was trying to call him about it when Jeffy called telling me that Teddy passed away while filming the K2 Back 9 in Whistler. Teddy was a mid-west kid that moves out west to full fille his life dream of filming skiing, and studying plastics engineering. He died doing what he had always wanted to do, and had an amazing life the few short years he was around. Hde will be sorely missed and are entire sport will fill his abscence.

RIP Buddy, I hope that you are gettin endless blower powder runs and nailling all of that A stock foottage up there.

RIP Teddy

Amazing how he took a starting film company up the ranks over the years. From what people he sounded like an incredible man.

Oh my god.

wow.

that's incredibly sad to hear. I don't even know what to say. Well, r.i.p. teddy, you made good movies and from i hear were an amazing guy.

Teddy was the glue that held Theory-3 together. He was the one that got us moving no matter how bad the snow report was. He ws the one that got us to got and shoot rails all night long even if it was freezing or rainging. He was the most passionate skier ever.

Teddy was an amazing person...this is the worst news possible and I don't even know what to think.

all that I know at the moment, is that he passed away while filming due to a stroke that resulted from complications to a heart deffect that he was born with. He died dooing what he loved, and what he always aspired to do. He couldnt quit talking about today for over the last month. He was so stoked that he was getting to heli ski today it was unreal.

RIP buddy

Teddy was one of the nicest people I have ever met. It was a pleasure to shoot with him every time, no matter what the weather or set up was like. I'm gonna miss him, rest in peace buddy.

wow WTF???? Where is this coming from? When did it happen? I hope this isnt really true, because holy shit thats just terrible. I didn't know the guy, but Safety Meeting was so awesome, his movies had a great spirit, and he seemed to be liked by everyone.

I'm just... shocked. People like Teddy... well if you knew him even a bit I guess you know. I didn't know him all that well but he was just always so great to be around, always the nicest guy to everyone. The type of guy you wish everyone could be more like. The world just lost one of its best... and far, far too soon...

I just don't know what to say.

RIP Teddy. You'll be missed by all who knew you.

We love you Teddy and we'll miss you and your beautiful blue eyes.

You are the one guy I can think of who no one would EVER have a bad thing to say about.

i am truly saddened for this loss. i never met teddy but his good reputation even from this website alone vastly preceded him.

RIP to the only guy that could beat up chuck norris, and condolences to the family.

RIP Teddy, hopefully you've found something better.

It's a sad day knowing Teddy won't be able to shred Crystal Mt., MI anymore... he was a great guy from what ive seen of him.

RIP Skier10322

i could only hope that this thread is the biggest lie ever...

I just saw Teddy last month in Vegas / SLC and partied / did urban with him..

wow...dont even know what to say. Teddy was a good shit, and in my book, being a good shit is the highest compliment ever..

still wishing this isnt true

im glad he went out the way he did (although completely blown away bout it)

he ended it skiing..and thats the best thing for any of us to wish for...no hospital beds or cancers...just out in the snow one minute...left us all the next

this is one of the saddest things I've ever heard... Teddy man, you were an inspiration from what everyone says... RIP man, I hope all your friends and family can find solice in the fact that you died doing what you loved.
