Quiet. Athletic. Friendly. Devoted. Calculated. Gideon didn't wear the newest Oakely shit nor stress about buying new skis everytime they got a ding in the base, Gideon skied to ski...image meant nothing...i mean he rocked the smith goggles with the built in fan to keep his glasses from fogging for donahue's sake. He was into the sport for the fun of it, for the love of it; somethig that many of us forget day after day. The only time he ever gave me shit was because I didn't feel like skiing because it was cloudy or the conditions might be subpar. He didn't give a fuck, he just wanted to get out and ride. Probably the chillest cat I have ever spent time with, caught up in no hustle whatsoever. I could be here all night typing shit about him, but that doesn't really matter. I know how I feel, and where he is now I know he knows how i feel and thats what is important. Just everyone take a step back, halt the shit talking and think. Shit happens, some stuff you can prepare for while other stuff you cannot. Just be smart in whatever you do...think things through. Is it worth the risk? Not to scare anyone from trying a new trick or even driving to the grocery store. Just be aware. Nobody needs to die, because when one person passes on it kills everyone that they have touched, be it their brother, lover or even just some cat they knew from school. Everyone pour some out for my dog Gideon, if only we could all be a little more like him.
