RIP Chris Kyle

For those of you who dont know who Chris Kyle was he was a sniper with SEAL Team 3. He was the greatest american sniper by racking up a confirmed 160 kills with MANY more uncounted for. Along with being awarded the silver star. On February 2nd Chris was killed by Iraqi war veteran Eddie Ray Routh at a firing range. It truely made me sick hearing this. I figured I would post this to show how incredible he and all our armed forces are. R.I.P Chris Kyle

well it's really sad but not that shocking. I mean he went to a shooting range to help a guy who had PTSD from war.

It's wasnt an accident the murder was suffering from post war stress so Chris took him to the range to help him out and the guy shot Chris in the back on purpose.

Karma goes both ways. Don't kill people, and expect no consequences.

But on a different note, that sucks. Vibes to the family

this guy did what he felt was necessary for our country, then tried to help others who had served their country...he stood for something great, i have so much respect for the guy

This man was an upstanding citizen who excelled at what he did. If you're playing the karma card ( Which is stupid ) then blame it on the higher-ups, not the man taking orders

just fucking around man trying to get a reaction and it occurred pretty quick so for that i apologize. but one thing i dont understand, america is in the middle of a huge gun control war, and now on cnn they are glorifying a guy who killed 160+ people. how many crazy kids are going to see this news in the next few days and start getting ideas? just because its pakis its ok?

Wait, so he couldn't have used his talent to hunt, or do anything else what so ever, his only calling was to shoot other human beings dead? I guess I'm retarded then.

Please point me to an occupation as well paying and prestigious ( loosely defined) as a sniper for the Navy. And no you're not retarded dont worry

That's a tough one. Not really going to jump on a side but where do you draw the line. When do you become responsible for your own actions? Did people tell the nazi's, you just thought you were doing what was right, it's not your fault that people told you to do bad things.

More extreme example but just curious where you feel that line is drawn.

You sir, a fucking retard. As stated above, the man was a soldier he did his job. He had more courage and was more of a man than you will ever be. He did his country a great service. A truly dedicated American hero.

Good point, kind of reminds me of Milgram experiment

Id say this: A soldier needs to have a drive to want to carry out orders to better protect their country, or atleast their brothers. If they receive an order that says " Shoot this target, it'll help us" Then they probably believe that they're bettering their country and helping their fellow man. Obviously if the commander says " Kill all these women and children, they're a threat" then its a different story.

In the end, yes hes the one pulling the trigger, but whether he found satisfaction in killing others or satisfaction in serving his country, thats something we cant know and I think thats the deciding factor

I just stated that karma isn't one sided. And probably, although killing someone with a sniper isn't very honorable. And on top of all that, I don't care much for hero's.

How in any way is killing someone with a sniper not honerable? In many cases, he would be providing sniper cover for a platoon or marines. By killing enemies with a sniper rifle he would be protecting the lives of many other carageous Americans. If that is not honerable, I don't know what is. Your logic is fucked.

“'It was my duty to shoot the enemy, and I don’t regret it. My regrets are for the people I couldn’t save: Marines, soldiers, buddies. I’m not naive, and I don’t romanticize war. The worst moments of my life have come as a SEAL. But I can stand before God with a clear conscience about doing my job,'"

-Chris Kyle R.I.P

Amen, I fucking love this guy. He was so honorable, he never proclaimed what he did was right. or that he wanted to kill people for a living. But war is a drug and some people are drawn to it. For your pussy ass, maybe its not for you. But sadly when Our leaders make decisions our young men have to go fight for what this country stands for, and that is what Chris Kyle did and did it damn well.

he also received like 7 silver stars, and 5 bronze stars with valor.

His job in Seal team 3 was to provide cover for front lines marines and soldiers in Iraq. so By shooting someone with an rpg he saved how many lives? that what you have to think about. not the total number of kills, but the lives saved.

I will be purchasing and reading his autobiography, I would think most of you should do the same. The man was a boss.

Jesus christ the kids in this thread...it's not even worth bothering

RIP Chris Kyle - terrible that he died trying to help someone

Haha shut the fuck up, dude. Are you intentionally trying to make the most ridiculously stupid comments in this thread, or are you just actually that retarded?

He's no Simo Hayha, but still pretty badass. Sucks he's being celebrated for killing people, but whatever. I don't respect what he did, but I respect what he did it for.

You are such a dumb canadian its unreal. You are the type of dumbass that gives canada a bad rep.

even canada has an army kiddies(however pathetic it may be). you can be anti-army or whatever all you want but to disrespect a person who has done nothing wrong and who just got shot? thats just classless

willingly doing something means your guilty of it...

IF UR FRIENDS told u 2 jump off a bridge....

yeah that thing.

serious vibes. I will be buying one of his books. and for any other NS'ers who want to do some reading, the book "Outlaw Platoon" by Sean Parnell will change the way you think about what these guys overseas are truly going through.

yeah I'm not saying anything about what he did, I am saying he was responsible for it which someone was trying to claim otherwise

I like that in his book he doesn't talk about the people he killed, he talks about the people he saved. That to me shows that he did his job to protect people his fellow soldiers. Not to get satisfaction for taking another human beings life.
