Watching the 16 year old canadian swimmer makes you feel like such a chump lol. High school kids winning medals and im here at home scratching my nuts at age 20 doing absolutely jack shit.
 
Well, Phelps didn't win the 100m fly, but he tied (3-way) for 2nd...

And Ledecky is absurd. She is so fucking fast. She makes it look so easy.

Also, while we only have 10 medals so far, every one has come from women. Pretty awesome, but time to step it up dudes. Ha ha.

The walk races are easily the most rediculous yet highly entertaining event thus far. Some dude had hardcore hershey squirts and shit all over as he was racing. Hard fuckin core, man.
 
Canada is going to dominate sprinting in 2020. Once the "unbeatable Bolt" is retired Andre de Grasse is going to snatch up some golds for us. I mean he really pushed Bolt in their 200m heat. Go Canada!!

Oh man. I'm just watching highlights right now and one guy just passed out mid-stride. I mean, 50km walk? So insane.
 
Honestly, any and all international sports are reaching the point where they need reform. The world has become a small place and the mounting domestic issues for all countries (From the U.S. to South America to Europe and Asia) have made it increasingly difficult for events like the Olympics or the World Cup to be the fair showing of human ability worldwide. Instead they are turning into corrupt shitshows where people die.

At least premier league is back.

This. The Olympics have really just become a venue for countries to continue their geopolitical squabbles. Jingoism and nationalism have become dominant over individual sporting accomplishments.
