W waynewong Active member Feb 21, 2006 #4 Same progression as klearning to carve/si going fowards how did you learn to ski...do that same sequence switch practice and work on lead changes/hip angles/transitions between turns...dont be static and practice on all types of terrain

? [~_~] Active member Feb 21, 2006 #6 keep your skis parallel, don't be afraid to lean back into it a little, stay off both your inside edges and doing the backwards erect snowplow. the way I think of it, its like traversing backwards downhill. just stay on your left or right edges.
