Riding short skis

I ski park and I’m looking to get some used skis to finish out the season. I found a pair that’s dirt cheap and in good condition. The only problem is that the ski is 165 cm. I am about 6’ and 155 lbs. what are the pro/cons of a shorter park ski? Is 165 wayyy to short to just finish out the season?

Those are pretty short, you are light which makes things a little better but I'd probably want something a longer like 175 ish for a park ski.

Pros of short skis: low swing weight so good for learning new rail tricks

Cons: Will feel unstable going fast/big especially in chop

It’s all personal preference, same reason I ride 90cm ski bladez every now and then and have a blast. The shorter skis would make rail tricks easier but would not give you as much stable landings on jumps. I skied 171 at 6’1” and it didn’t bother me at all. Definitely go longer if you can though.

You could but I wouldnt

search your local craigslist for used skis.

whats your budget?

I’ve been on that grind of checking CL. I live in MN so there’s a total of 4 skis for sale. It’s not a very big budget, couple hundred bucks. I will probably buy new skis this summer so I just need a mid season cop.

Check eBay or the B/s/t here. You can find a ski your size easily for 200 or less
