Rider judged comps?

I was watching some bmx edits and something caught my attention: rider only contests. no judges, just riders. seemed like a pretty cool idea. I'm not against judged comps in anyway i was just wondering what the ski community thought about this idea.

Thoughts?

Those comps are the best. It really unites all of the riders too, everyone has a lot more fun

YES

My buddy was in a USSA comp for shits and giggles. He through down in the rails, with both way 4s, k-Feds etc. he threw some steezy 540s on the jumps. He was slaying of his current skill level. Anyway this little shit straight slid all the boxes, pencil 360d the first jump and through an ugly ass cork 7 off the last (kid was primarily an aerialist). Anyway that kid and his entire ski team pretty much had that exact same run. So my friend got like 7th. Anyway the next day he through some flat 3s and a backy off the jumps determined to do better, and this bitch comes up to him and says

"Hey you have to be certified to do inverts!!! Your disqualified". Completely killed my friends interest in competing. That was a couple seasons ago too and since then he has only done a gaper day rail jam.

Qualification sucks.

Sammy C, THall und B&E Invitational were all riders judged and it seemed to me that this is the format that all riders love the most especially the ones who focus more on their style.

I did an interview last year with Phil Casabon and he also said that this is what he likes most and wants to see more in competitions.
