So who thinks that joel mccormicks last video segment ever, steeles seg in rfa, was one of the best ski movie segs ever. how painfully ironic... or something like that. a true testament in any case.

Steele's segment in RFA is amazing. They did an awesome job putting it together. The editing is great, the song works perfectly, and it was a cool way for Steele to put out his artwork for the world to see(all the artsy stuff that flashes on the screen is his own art.) It's easily the coolest ski movie segment I've seen in a long time.

i like the part when steele is looking at the building and the footage is on the side. it is super good, and his death is def. a huge loss to the ski community.

I think that segment was a preview of the driection that ski movies are going. It's a shame that so much talent had to leave us so soon.

Yeah the Last Track article in the November freeskier sums up Joel's dedication well. He was amazing and he'll be missed. Ur right, it is a shame all that talent had to leave us so soon...

it took a viewing or two to get used to it for me. But now it's my favorite editing segment in the movie.. crichton has my favorite overall segment. I think I juse really love Steele's song and how it's not all skiing but has some other stuff in there. It's just an awesome segment.

that segment doesnt necessairily make me want to ski the most (henrik's seg. does), but that segment is what i want ski movies to become the most. that and belan's segment.

I just read the article in Freeskier, its pretty sad. It really was the last thing Joel did before he died.

bel's was deff a great segment and he had some nice pipe shots (alley op cork 5 mute = money), but one thing i noticed about it was that not one of his tricks was unnaty.

steels segment wasn't the greatest segment of all time, imo, but the fact that joel created something like that shows what will become of ski movies

 
it was cool how steeles segment incorporated so many different things. Joel did a hella good job putting it all together with style and flow. peace out motherfucker

really nice seg yeah... but the thing me and my friend have been wondering since we saw the segment is that how Joel pass away. in the movie they dont mention anything about what caused this tragic event...
