Revelstoke Vs. Fernie

Myself and a couple of my mates (from New Zealand) are planning on doing a season in either Fernie or Revy this coming season. Would describe ourselves are big mountain skiers that also love a good apres scene, Where should we be going?
 
My home hill is Fernie. Great hill and amazing little town, apres is good but is on the pricey side. Lots of terrain to ski in Fernie. I've never been to Revy but my buddy has and he said the snow is amazing. Personally I would look into skiing at Red Mountain in Rossland BC or Whitewater in Nelson BC both amazing resorts!
