Revelstoke next season, looking for houses!

A few of us decided to just do it, and set the destination to Revelstoke this coming winter. We are now looking for places to live, since it's seems like the first thing to figure out.

Ideally we're looking for a house to rent throughout the season. A kitchen and a working shower is basic criteria. Internet and sauna would be nice too. We're unsure of exactly how many we'll be, but between 4 and 8 probably.

So if anyone knows of anything, hit me up! Every bit of info is valuable.

list.thestoke.ca be careful though, scammers have been known to post false rentals so don't give any money without seeing the place in person.

More places will become available come April/May.
 
Most of the winter rentals will be posted towards the start of next season (Sep/Oct), but if you put out a feeler now you might get a bite and be able to lock a place down at a better rate.

The scam listings on the Stoke all have a pretty similar writing style. Basically if it sounds too good to be true, the renter is located anywhere OTHER than Revelstoke and you can't meet them in person to see the place, it's a scam.

Will you guys have vehicles? If you're planning on catching the shuttle to the hill you may want to make sure anywhere you're looking at is fairly close to the shuttle stops (http://www.revelstokemountainresort.com/resort/resort-shuttle). Walking long distances in ski boots sucks.

I may or may not be looking for a place to live in Revy come October 1st. I can't really afford what I want so I guess it's getting to the point where I may need to get together with some people and rent a multi bedroom house with some folks. I'll have a better idea in two weeks as to what my plans are exactly.
