Thinking about coming up in September to look for a place for the winter. What's the winter living situation up there? We plan on skiing everyday and don't plan on working unless money gets real tight. Would love to meet some people to show us around and also anybody with some hookups on/off the hill. Cheers

For sure going to have my Tacoma up there. Not going to be doing anything but skiing so I'm sure will hit up Rogers Pass along with some other places if cash allows. I sure hope the trailer parks are better than some of the ones around Seattle. I have a friend that I will be living with so were hoping to get a apartment or maybe a two bedroom house or something. Let a brother know if anyone has the inside hookup on anything in Revy.

^^^ Sweet. It's like $660 before October? Then goes up to $1000 or something. Can't wait to come check out the palce in September. I sure Hope I know what I'm doing for the winter before October though.

is this supposed to be an el nino year? i cant find anything about the winter forcast from the farmers almanac.. havent really looked too hard though..

^^^ That's what some models and people are saying. Not that I want to believe it though. I still plan on moving to Revy and skiing my ass off. We will be up in September to find a place.

It's actually pretty easy to find a place right now in Revelstoke. There is a lot of stuff for sale at the moment, and tons to rent as well. You should be fine if you're going up in September.

Yeah not to sure about finding a place but definitely look at the trailer parks if there are two of you, you can probably get a 2 bedroom trailer for a reasonable price. I stayed with two revie patrollers in the winter who have a trailer for themselves and it was brand new and actually really nice.

is it possible to live up there and work without a car? i was planning on going to whis but its gonna suck this year cuase of the olympics

I'm going up there in January with 6 other guys for a week and it's been a pain trying to find houses for rent. We were there 2 years ago and fell in love, can't wait to go back. Anyone have a house to rent for the last week in January?

When we were there two years ago we stayed in Golden, what a dump, hoping for less commuting. Revelstoke was so clean and beautiful compared to that old railroad town.

T minus two days till departure. Beyond Revelstoked...

Just to add something usefull.

www.discoverrevelstoke.com is for sure a promotional website but gets the stoke going with the intro vid.

www.revmovie.com has way better skiing and leaves out the old people walking by the river.

I have watched both many many times to get through this long summer.

heading to revy at the end of october, still looking for a place for a friend and i. if anyone has room for two or leads on places let me know. im awesome and shes cute.

I suggest getting to Revy ASAP if you want a better selection of places. I know while we were looking for places there was another group of three that we kept running into and all the owners of the properties were getting a bunch of calls. Good luck and if your friend is really cute she can stay with me.
