Resorts near los angeles

what are some decent ski resorts near lax like and how far estimation

mammoth isnt very close... 6 hours if i remember right

bear mtn is closer but not nearly as good. LA is not exactly a ski town

Lax to big bear is about 2 1/4 hours depending on traffic and mt high is probably about 1 3/4 hours from lax and mt baldy is probably about1 1/4 hours. Bear has the best park and baldy has the best terrain but no real park and does not make snow. Mt high is in the high dessert and crowed on weekends and pretty much where most people in so cal snowboard

thanks for the help i know its far from places but i have family there and its free lodging si id rather drive the extra distance instead of paying for a hotel like

and mammoth is 4 1/2-5 if you're smart and leave when there is no traffic and don't make any pit stops.
