Resort Rec's for these no snow conditions

Well I'm making my annual trek to SLC next week and the forecasts are not looking good. I visit to ski epic powder and that doesn't look like it's gonna happen. Can't complain too much because last year at this time was the best skiing I've ever had in my life.

I'm not big on park skiing, but I can entertain myself in the bumps and on some nice groomers.

You guys have any resort recommendations for where the best bump skiing is at this time? What about some steep, well maintained groomers without lots of gapers all over it?

Thanks for any input.

getting away from gapers doesnt happen when you want to ski groomers & bumps.

Maybe Deer Valley is you can afford it, or something like that since your not into park.

Deer Valley has to have the highest concentration of gaper tourists anywhere. It is insane.

Alta/Bird is probably the best bet. Not a lot of people ski the bumps and the ones that do usually rip and arent a problem and if it does snow for you than all the better.

I would say pcmr is the most crowded... but either way, yes, it is a shitshow at both of these resorts.

I would have to agree with the LCC, since there will likely be fewer people there, there might be a bit more snow, and it won't cast as much as Deer Valley.

PC has a fun park set up. I'm sure you've seen all of the edits.

Alta has been super fun lately - tons of natural hits all over the mountain. If it snows at all it'll refresh it and be extra fun.

Peep this edit from today.

snowbasin is fun and a little different if you get a nice sunny day. worth checking out atleast once.

Definitely Solitude. There's never crowds on any lifts worth riding (the only ones that get crowded are link and moonbeam at the very bottom of the resort) and they have superb corduroy and bumps, and if it dumps, you'll find endless staches of pow
