Replying to threads

Is there any reason why threads go to oldest to newest opposed to newest to oldest? I often find how people never see new replies and only focus on the old ones.

Do you mean replies inside the thread? That's the only thing you could be talking about because obviously, the most recent reply on a thread bumps the thread to the top of its section

If you do mean inside the thread, then most people focus on the most recent post and typically don't read the older ones or older pages.

Are you just trolling? If not, specify more.

Or maybe I misunderstood.

Sorry i did make my question clear. What I meant was that why are replies inside the thread sorted From oldest to newest? I often find that new ones never get seen.

Because it is much more intuitive to read top down rather than bottom up.

What youre suggesting would require you to scroll to the bottom, then start reading while scrolling up if you wanted to follow the conversation in the thread.

i generally read every post assuming its not too long and i like to read them in order so i can follow the conversations.
