Replacing the Disk drive with an SSD on MacBooks

Curious if anyone has any experience or recommendations on replacing the disk drive with an SSD on the late 2012 Macbook pro. I want to do a bit of an over hall and add another Hard drive and add another 8gb of RAM so recommendations would be great

Disk drives aren't hard drives.

Im well aware, the Disk drive can be removed from the bay and replaced with a hard drive though, at leasts thats the way it was designed on the late 2012

Look at Other World Computing online. They make great products, will buy your old hardware for a few buck, and offer exactly what you are describing for a great price with the kits and videos to walk you through the DIY.

its super easy to do I've got the samsung 850 eve in mine and its great

Got the same. Samsung SSDs are great, definitely recommend it. Other than that not sure what you're lookin for. Open it up, swap it out, done. Shouldn't be too tough. Remember to format your drive properly so your comp recognizes it. Should be plenty of forums out there that explain this process.

I'm pretty sure you'll have to migrate your OS over to the SSD when/if you get it. you can't just replace it and call it a day.
