Replacement for future spins?

I'm currently on 181 future spins but skis don't last forever and mine aren't looking so hot... since line no longer makes the "future spin" I'm going to have to look for an alternative.

So I have a couple questions...

Is the honey badger the ""replacement"" for the future spin?

If not, what would u suggest?

It's an 86 underfoot ski with a medium flex, just about every ski brand makes a comparable ski

There used to be loads but there aren't actually a ton of skis like the Future Spin anymore (i.e. narrow, minimal rocker, playful but still mid-flexing). The Honey badger is way softer so I wouldn't go with those unless that is what you're looking for. The Tom Wallisch Pro is much closer in terms of performance of the Line offerings. It's been a long time since I skied a Future Spin but from memory the closest 'exact' match I can think of that is still being built is probably the Head Caddy.

arv 86? ive never ridden future spins but from what ive heard that seems somewhat similar. Probrably a little softer. Correct me if im wrong which i most likely am lmao

Would you say the Caddy/FutureSpin are/were stiffer than the TW? Or the other way around?

has the caddy changed in the last few years cause i remember not liking it in the past.

also i dont mind going wider, but wouldnt wanna go slimmer.

i havent skied any of these skis but from what i know the future spin will almost certainly be softer than the TW. and idk much about the caddy but i have a hard time imagining a head ski to be softer than the future spin

I don't believe the Caddy has changed significantly recently (if at all), so if you've skied them before and not liked them then I'd steer clear. It's difficult for me to accurately place those three skis in terms of flex because there were big time gaps between when I skied each of them. I would say they were all on the stiffer side of average for a park ski these days (though nowhere close to comp skis like the Salomon NFX) and I wouldn't say there were huge differences between them. The Future Spin was the stiffest of the Line jib collection at the time it was out and the Wallisch takes that spot now. If pushed, I'd say the Future Spin might have been a touch stiffer but I wouldn't put a lot of money on it.

One of our reviewers did an in depth review on the Wallisch Pro:https://www.newschoolers.com/news/read/The-Roofbox-Reviews-2017-Line-Tom-Wallisch-Pro if you want to check that out. I've only skied them at ski tests, but they seemed a lot of fun to me. Poppy and plenty solid on landings while still being pretty playful.
