Reno Jib

Ive just found some Reno Jibs with tyrolia peak 12's for $400 (£260) , just wondering if thats a good price and what the ski is like? Im 5'9 and weigh in at about 120 lbs. Whats the flex like on them and the durability? Also 171 or 176 cm's ? I live in england and have a pretty limited choice of ski's here :(

i can only speak for the '10s (which i assume you're on about).
stiff flex but poppy, light, a dream switch, and i've heard excellent things about durability, sounds like a sick price and be a man get 176, sounds like you're still growing...

naaat good for butters, especially at your weight. if you want something buttery i'd look elsewhere.

You are very light and the reno jibs are quite stiff. I don't recommend them to you because you will have trouble buttering them. The past years reno jibs are stiff, but moment have soften them up this year. So you should check those out, they could be what you're looking for.

just out of curiosity where were you getting them from? because that was an awesome price for ski + binder...

yea that's where i got mine, i was hoping it'd be a shop which has some mad deals of moments wider skis. no such luck.

Im from UK as well, the EB deal is good, I will probabally get those skis. I dont rate the Peak 12s though. But you are pretty light. I would always advise to buy the strogest binding you can if you have the money as long as the DIN setting is still in range.

I had some Peak 12s on my POW skis and the broke straight away where as my Marker Jesters are still going stong after 3 seasons, i ride at DIN 8-10, so dont use their full potential but they feel a lot stronger.

Im over buying new skis, just get last years one for half the price is the way forward. Plus they have been tested for a season so you can get all the feedback in the world for each ski? NO brainer?

Check out Skibartlet, they have millions of old stock skis. You can still pick up the old line Invaders which are amazing apart from they are a bit on the heavy side now.

Freezeproshop is another one to look at. http://www.sandownactivesports.com/shop.php/skis/c_3.html and http://www.snowtraxstore.co.uk/

Its always worth ringing the shops up as they might have old stock but dont want to put it online as it looks like the never sell any skis?

Hope that helps,

Ian,

See you at Hemmel or Morzine if your on the slopes?

Thats excellent thanks! Whats Hemmel like for freestyle nights? I will normally be at the chatham dry slope. Then i have a season in Saas Fee to look forward to!

Yeah its cool i went there a few weeks ago, seems to have a really nice newschooler type community there, plus some pretty sweet nightlife. May have to check out hemmel once ive got my new ski's.
