Removing Line Handles

I've searchbarred quite a bit, and there have never really been any good answers on how to remove these types of handles. you can't use boiling water, there's like a hard plastic part under the actual grip. How do you take these off so you can shorten them?

Pics for reference:

Yup boiling water works, and then you can also use a heat gun, keep the pole moving/rotating so it doesn't burn!

I had a pair of tacs and when i loosened the screw on top, the strap came off fairly easily, maybe that's what's keeping the whole grip locked onto your ski pole.

get an air hose and shoot air under the grip and try to pull it off at the same time it should work

safe yourself some hassle and take them to a shop. they have a special machine that pulls them off way easier than anything you can do at home.
