All to effectively make the other areas of NS seem more active.

I think LG is effectively splitting the user base. Not trying to take a #meninism stance or anything, but if you wanna be like the big boys, come play with the big boys amirite

A decreased number of sub forums funnels activity.

this is the exact reason we need lady gabber, and I bet every female on here will agree

also, merging gear talk into ski gabber would make sg even more of a disaster. splitting forums is useful when it makes them easy to navigate

We like it how it is, gear talk is essential and wtb/st used to be one forum and we split them, theyre staying that way. Lady gabber is staying, same with now hiring inactive forums don't mean get rid of them... We've got plenty of other stuff coming down the pipe that will actually improve the website.

Haven't been on here in a few years but it looks like NS is nothing what it use to be. Just looking at the ski gabber the last reply was l I keep 2 days ago and still on the first page.

Crazy to think about how poppin it use to be. It was scary to come back to see.

Forums have suffered massively everywhere on the internet with the rise of the main-stream social media and the bazillion other ways to connect with people. Forums used to dominate the landscape of "social" on the web, because it was the only way to communicate with other random people.

Overall, there's far more people visiting the site than there was a few years ago, they just aren't posting in the forums as actively.
