Remounting Skis

Ive never remounted a pair of skis and I am planning on remounting a pair of k2s that were mounted in the back with rental bindings Im just going to make these skis for just messing around here and there. Anyway Im just curious if you have to do anything to the drill holes where they were previously mounted. Or can you just mount them up again.

K+ for helpful answers

Once you have the old bindings off first thing to do is check the new holes will not be too close to the old ones. Put the jig or paper template over the ski on the mount point you want and check that there is at least 1cm gap between the old hole and where the new ones will be. If they are too close you may have to move your mount point.

Once you you know where your mounting you want to fill the old holes. Shops use small plastic or sometimes wood plugs. A shop should sell you some pretty cheap. You put a little wood glue in the hole then carefully hammer the plug in. Use something like a Stanley blade to cut off the excess plug to leave the top sheet flat avian.

From on there mount like normal.
