back in '98, the day after Moselely won Gold, I can remember Liam Downey and Josh Novotny doing 360 mutes in the terrain park at Bromley, VT. (ok, maybe it was a week later.)
anyway, Moseley's 360 mute and Gold medal win was historic. it propelled freeskiing from obscurity. honestly, you could only find it in a few places back then: Squaw Valley, Crested Butte, Whistler, Quebec, the World Cup mogul circuit.
if anybody gets a chance to watch Scott Gaffney's Breathe, which came out in '97, you'll see a segment devoted to Moseley. Moseley's doing backflips, 1080s mutes, and flares in the halfpipe. Mind-blowing shit back then.
