Now, PLEASE DO NOT LET THIS GET OUT OF HAND or its going to get deleted. Keep negative thoughts on other religions to yourself.

I'm just curious what religion majority of skiers are, and why.

I have no religion, I cant bring myself to believe in a greater being, and I believe we are a soul in a physical body. When out physical body reaches the end of its life our soul carries on. If it comes back as a cat, dog, cactus, or human I will have to wait to find out.

I am a freerider,
I am not restricted in what i do or where i do it, but i do keep my mind to it and stick to certain rules so i can keep doing what i love doing .....

I don't really have one.

My dad's family was Catholic until his grandmother got sick and couldn't pay her dues to the Church for awhile. When she got better she went to go sit at the front pew like she always did but they moved her to the very back. He hasn't been in a Church for anything other than weddings and funerals since.

My mom is from Japan so she is Shinto/Buddhist. Doesn't go to temples or shrines other than when we are in Japan though.

So I guess I live with the Buddhist/Shinto moral system but don't really follow one.

IT'S HERE !!!

both of my grandparents were very religious (christian) and my parents went to church almost every weekend, but nowadays neither my parents or i go to church other than on Easter.

i would be catholic, but only do catholic stuff on funerals, christenings and weddings.

i dislike organized religion for several reasons. although i believe that "something" is somewhere. but it doesnt matter for me, since i will never meet this alien/god/demon thing.

i am a nice guy, help when i can, be honest and thats it. i dont need a possible punishment in hell to be a better human. while we are at it, it bothers me how the number 1 command is to love god, BEFORE loving your neighbors.

thats it.

i really dont give a shit about religion and people can believe in whatever they want and i respect that ..... i just straight dont give a shit but what i dont like is people trying to convert others to their religion or bashing another religion or believing...

A quote to show how i feel, "i believe that man made god out of ignorance and fear, if he loved us so much, then why the hell did he put us here?"

i believe in christian morals, but not the ideology. i dont like organized religion, but i do reserve a space for my belief that there is something bigger than all of us.

Technically Catholic, but my parents never made us go to church growing up. They both attended Catholic grammar, middle and high schools and feel there is too much hypocrisy in the church, so they never put us through it. Although I am baptized, my younger sister isn't, and I probably won't baptize my kids (unless my wife absolutely demands it).

That being said, I'd say on a personal level I'm more agnostic. I think there might be something up there, but I'm not about to read a book written by humans telling me stories that may or may not have happened.

i like homer simpson's take on religion: "I'm not a bad guy! I work hard, and I love my kids. So why should I spend half my Sunday hearing about how I'm going to Hell?"

i believe in god. for sure. it took me til i was about 24 before i could admit that to myself. the whole youthful rebelion against anything your parents believed in thing. hell, i even believe in religion if it is used "properly" ie if it lets people connect to a higher power, and have some sort of moral compass to "live better." for me, the imagery, iconography, and just the feeling of christianity, somehow resonate. i was rasied christian. BUT. i am not someone who even remotely beleives that christianity is the only "right path" and if you don't accept jc you are going straight to hell. not even sure i beleive in hell.

pretty much in the "live and let live" camp.

I'm an atheist. I think religion can help some people and motivate them, but strong religious people are often pretty much insane imo.

confirmed lutheran, but in reality i find it hard to beleive there's an all powerfull being that has already predetermined all of our actions.

I don't get how people can be casually religious. If you're into the whole "i just think theres a higher power" thing, then i get it, but if you're casually Catholic or whatever, i don't get it.

Surely if you go to church occasionally and believe in the Judeo-Christian God, you must believe all/most of the stuff in the bible, rather than just saying "oh theres probably a God, but he doesnt know everything and doesn't care about us" etc etc... By saying that, it basically means that you don't believe in the God of the bible at all, and instead believe in some God you have made up to suit yourself?... which is fine, but you can't classify yourself as catholic or whatever else if thats the case.

I am not religous in anyway, I believe that, we as individuals, are the makers of our own fate, identity and so on. Everyone has their own potential, and it is up to that person to live up to that potential, and that the most important thing in life is to live open minded.

Respect others and how they live their life, in return, respect will also come your way.

i think it's easier to live your life how you want, not believe in anything, then when you die i guess something happens

This, when I went to church with my family when I was a kid I was overly worried about going to hell because of things I did. I now have decided I don't give a fuck because none of it will happen, and I can live my life the way I want

I believe that there is no god and that we are just here to live life and have fun and be happy and experience life for what it is. The point of life really is that there is no point we're just here and we should take hold of that.
