so After calling my local ski shop on the other side of puget sound (kitsap penisula) they told me that it would cost about $40 to mount a pair of skis any tune up extra. And it would take about two weeks. Then my dad got home and told me to call REI. they chage $30 and it includes a small edge-tune + wax. They also said it would be ready the next night. I was wondering if any bodey else knew about REI mounting skis, I dident think they did.
 
you talking about kitsap sports, they do take like 3-4 days, but your going to pay the difference in getting over to seattle.
 
Dude, my friend works there, she gets North Face gear 70% off, $150 store christmas bonus and discounts on most everything. I kinda want to work there now, if only for a month next year so i can get discounted skis.
 
i went to rei hoping to buy a jacket and found nothing i liked. its all northface patagonia and columbia
 
if your mounting newschool skis you should go to seattle ski off aurora. I dont trust those other places they''ll mount them the next day and they know there shit

nothings worst then getting your new skis drilled in the wrong place and then you got to do them over again!!
 
agreed, also I personally work in the shop at sturt's, if you wanna bring your skis and go "HEY MAN I KNOW YOU FROM NEWSCHOOLERS!!!" i'll mount your shit right then and there baby

So I got me and my brother skis at REI on Friday and my brother is useing my old skis and bindings and has boots with slightly different molded bottems. REI has a mechine test to tell if a binding boot combo is opperating at the correct did and if it is not they can adjust it so that it is and because of that my brother now has a left and right ski. wiered huh.
 
yea its called a torque test, every ski shop is required to do it

that's why they need your height and weight

why dont you just got to fukn seattle ski like ive told you 50,000,,0000000 times?!! hoose will do it for you in like 1/2 of a second
 
chris please me too. My troublemakers are there and they are supposed to be done on the 15th. if you could mount them that would be delicous. my name is Ben milne and they are 165 tm's
 
what kind of bindings?

I found the skis and boots but bindings are sorted by manufacturer and we have like 300 pairs sitting back there

yo seattle ski and snowboard on Aurora is a tight store. but common ya dont need to take your stuff someplace to be sharpend or waxed. ya can do that yourself
