well so i see all these kids walking around with rasta colored wrist bands and hats and riding around with some hip hop that has a guy with a jamacian accent rapping then they think they are so gangster. Ill give it to you staight, bob marley played ska from several years before he even thought about reggae. all real reggae is a trad ska beat slowed down with more focus on vocals. with out ska there would be not reggae. if you want to listen to real reggae and some trad ska listen to desmond dekker or alton ellis or even earlly bob marley. i got a 2 disk cd from my local library called ska bonanza and it has all the early stuff including 3 of bob marley's early ska songs. so now go to your local library and look for them. I am not gangster i am straight ska and reggae. reggae is closer to punk than thug, listen to roots radical by rancid and they talk about it.

Reggae is so gangster. Back in Jamaica you gotta wear those suits in t3h 60's to fight tha oppressors. Suits = gangster because mobs = suit wearing thugz and the black community identified with the way italian mob homiez hung, duhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
