Regarding a post removed

I had a post removed yesterday afternoon regarding Rememberance Day. Would like an explanation why. It was in no way slanderous, rude, mean, etc. Just wanted peoples thoughts on the whole thing. Please don't remove my posts just because YOU the moderators don't agree with my opinion. Not that I even had an opinion in the thread! So why? Why was it pulled?

I hadn't even turned around,pulled my pants down,or sat down.I was vomiting, pooing everywhere,pissing and crying all at the same time.
 
uh-oh, could this be the first example of a person's freedom of speech being taken away on newschoolers.com?? mr. lanemeyers, i offer my knowledge of the law for u in this case, if need be.

 
Well, then I should give you the backup. You see, I posted yesterday, following a post regarding 'hugging a veteran' that is still here. My post was just asking what everyones thoughts were on R. Day and how I didn't really know where I stood on the subject, being a pacifist and all. Nonetheless, it was pulled.

Attn: Moderators...I was the one that posted the 'Hug a Veteran' thread, but I still think it's messed up that a post was removed. This is a forum where everyone should be heard. There was nothing damaging in there. He was just asking a question. I don't even think anyone had written back to it yet.

really i think that we need to see the post but i agree if the post its not slandering or other shit then it should not be taken down

Im did not read lanemeyers post but try putting the thread in the Site Discussion forum. I'm not saying that this does not belong in the forum but that it will be heard better in the site discussion forum.

brothers unite! wednesday at 9:00pm eastern time we will all get on here and post a thread at the same time! i have no idea what it will do but maybe it will cause mayhem on the site, being that it will not be able to post them all at the exact same time!

First of all, I removed it. I completely didn't agree with it, BUT thats NOT why i moved it.

As said in the second post, the Veterans, Rememberance Day was being covered in the Bush thread and in another Veterans day thread. Posting the same topic over and over with different subjuct lines is redundent.

How is a bunch of people posting a thread at the same time going to do ANYTHING?

If you have a problem with a thread, you are totally able to message any of us and ask for an explination. We might not know the answer, but we can find it.

Another thing to note is that just because the topic of the thread isn't bad in any way, sometimes threads turn into a bunch of nonsense, and so they are taken down. It doesn't necesarily reflect the original idea of the thread.

Also, I checked into Flanker's response! First off, the Bush thread hardly touches on peoples feelings towards Vets day/R-day. Secondly, some of the stuff in the Bush thread is extremely offensive, even to a Canadian such as myself. I don't believe that members here are rude enough to slander vets from wars, I really don't. I'd hope not! And it was in no way my intentions to start a conflicting thread, just thought I'd get both sides of the story!

I too am Canadian, and in the Canadian Army.

I didn't agree with a hell of a lot in the bush thread. Once i read it, i did re-instate the Veterans post because the subject was barely touched upon.
