Reediting old edits with new music

Idk I think song choice does a lot to influence the style or at least the general perception of the style. Imagine Tom Wallisch SuperUnknown dubbed with Sail...
 
I agree, but I will give it a shot to an old edit, not editing anything, but taking the footage and put a different song.

It changes the vibe of the edit into something completely different, and I was blown away by some of the small details that worked so perfectly.

I'd be interested to check it out. It'll be interesting to see how much, if any, influence the music has on the style.
 
It's not about music is it? I thought it was about skiing.

Anyway copyright issues are only going to get tougher to get around.

Pick a song and find out it's blocked on YouTube...........It's only going to be harder as time goes by.

Didn't make any difference to me. But hey, that's just me.

If I don't like some music, I just play what I like and mute the video anyway.
 
I guess the feel of the songs is pretty similar so I see what you mean, I have watched this too many times and that is probably why I feel like its so totally different with a new song. Skiing is fucking cool man.

^ Truth. It was a sweet edit either way.

I too have used the same clips to re-edit some stuff, then used other music.

Mostly when I am filming I don't use any music at all. This way I don't need to pick a song.

I have a pretty good amount of music I have filmed. Most of that I can use and not worry about copyright.

I have had several videos that have been muted by YouTube as well as time has moved forward.

That is sad when that happens.
