i dont think anyone did a full review on it yet, so what the hell, ill take a shot at it

starts out with a pretty tech, stylish intro

Gagnier's Seg

Schiller

Rinfret

Dion (no issues at all on dions seg in my dvd, but its an early copy I believe)

Bibby/Iannick B (shared segment)

Belanger

Burke (spread out into almost 2 segments, a first minute of her eating shit, then a full seg of her destroying everything

iceland segment (like 4 minutes long)

the movie was definately in the same 'feel' of last years movie, the music was definately out there in some cases, but never so much as it took away from the actual movie. Id have to say that the Iceland segment is probably the most enjoyable 4 minutes outve any ski movie Ive ever seen. Its one weakness is its short running length, and its oddly navigated dvd menu. No such thing as a BACK button, always sends u right to the main menu, so u have to navigate through a few menus just to get back to where u were

best segments 1-3 would be Iceland, then Burke, then a tie between Gagnier/Rinfret

and Dechenaux (spelling probably wrong by me) has some shots in the credits

dvd extras are hilarious... 'its dirty D'

so um, yeah thats my take on the movie, pretty good, a little short, and the Iceland segment was pretty damn sick

i think it'S a great movie not only by the skiing but by the editing and the filming too it's way more extend than most of the ski movies

and that's what makes it the best movie

the iceland part that is playing on my tv right now is definitly the best part

the b stuff is good. larose had probably the best segment. Most of the stuff that was kept for the movie was kept for a reason, the setteze in this movie is so sick. And shame on mikeal for his segment. The dvd was auhored by someone totally retarded. It takes so long to get through stuff. And Bibby is part giraffe.

I think Anthony Boronowski in general is just a phase.
 
yeah, the dvd navigation is rather hard to get to what u want, thats my only complaint

b footage is good, about the same level as the movie actually, some funny special features, thing on south africa big air whatever it was called, some trailers, some ads, ect

the editing was dope and there were really creative intros, not too much good skiin tho, some stuff was good but for the most part i wasnt too impressed

i guess the issue in the dvd recall was a bitrate problem during dions segment..i checked the bitrate on my dvd, and it was constant through the entire thing..i guess they recalled the dvds, then un-recalled them or something

i bought redtape from a local shop last week and my copy stops playing when he goes to pick up the rock... i just about beat the crap out of my brand new (fairly expensive)dvd player.

i guess there is a price to pay for having it before most other people, umm can anyone help me fix it tho???

i thought that rinfrets seg was most impressive. i havent really seen a full seg with him before and it just blew me out of the water. really tech on rails and some dope airs. the whole movie was really good. i really liked the music, a big variety of everything.

dion had a good seg too. his intro had like a rocky theme it was pretty dope

 
to everyone saying ths skiing wasn't good, What the fuck are you talking about? What do you want to see? fucking shitty ass spin to win tricks? Fucking GT hucking 12's or cr acting all gay because he thinkgs his muscles are to big? This movie is all about sick steeze. Fuckin' new age prograsseive tricks, uncrossed mutes, tons of cab 3's, rails worth shitting your pant's. In iceland look what they had to work with, and see how amazingly sick the skiing was. dual cork 7's. Fucking bs switchups on urban rails. FUCKING SARAH SHOWING SHE'S THE ONLY GIRL WORTH A DAMN!! This is by far the best ski movie ever made, and the best of this year. Please nore WSKI and X have not been officially released yet, so they're not in the running yet. but REDTAPE blows the shit out of everything. It hurts my brain when people say anything bad about it. It's short because they don't use every little clip they shot. The filming in the movie is top fucking notch. rinfrets backcountry follow cam 3 is so fucking beautiful. If you arn't going to appreciate this movie for the work of art it is then please don't watch it.

phrosty totally nailed it with that one. red tape is the best ski movie i have ever seen, hands down. the cinematography is unbelievable, editing is off the hook, solid music, and just plain steezy, ultra progressive skiing.

plus i got it for free. ive watched it 5 times in the oast two days...

and the 'picking up on newchoolers' part with 'dirty d' and epithemus is too funny.

Red Tape was by far the best movie that I have seen EVER! The creativity is unbelievable and has a really good soundtrack to it also...
